Using observations from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, an international team of researchers, led by the Universite de Montreal, have captured one of the clearest views yet of a self-sustaining cycle in which gas cools, flows inward and feeds a supermassive black hole. The findings, published today in the Astrophysical Journal Letters, provide new insight into how black holes and galaxies evolve together over cosmic time.
