As of November 5, the average price of #421 silicon metal for silicone use in east China stood at 9,750 yuan/mt, while the mainstream transaction price of #421 silicon in east China averaged 9,600 yuan/mt, both largely flat WoW, as silicon metal continued to consolidate. Methanol and methyl chloride quotes edged lower in tandem. This week, the average market price of methyl chloride was 3,250 yuan/mt, down 1.52% WoW, while the average methanol price (east China) pulled back to around 3,710 yuan/mt.
