Orbost's popular Forest Park is set for a major information facelift, with works currently underway to streamline signage and upgrade the local viewing platform. The project is being delivered by the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (EGCMA) in close partnership with Moogji Aboriginal Council.A key focus of the initiative is decluttering the park landscape.Rather than replacing a large number of outdated, weathered displays individually, project organisers are simplifying the visitor experience by removing older posts and upgrading a central, larger information hub to make historical and ecological facts much easier to find.Forest Park has long been a favoured rest stop and recreation point for both Orbost residents and travellers along the Snowy River. The signage overhaul follows recent infrastructure improvements to the wider park facilities, ensuring that the public information on display is as clear, current and accessible as the upgraded grounds themselves.
