Polaryx raises $10M for phase II rare disease basket trial

Fresh off a Nasdaq listing and $10 million financing, Polaryx Therapeutics Inc. is moving PLX-200, an oral reformulation of gemfibrozil, into an open-label, phase II basket trial across four ultra-rare pediatric lysosomal storage disorders. Lawyer-turned-biotech financier Alex Yang founded the rare disease biotech after drawing lessons from the 2024 sale of another portfolio company, Epygenix Therapeutics Inc., to Harmony Biosciences Inc. for $680 million.
