A bill recently signed by New York Governor Kathy Hochul requires advertisers to disclose the use of synthetic performers in publications and advertisements, Reuters reports. Another bill signedby the governor prevents a deceased person’s name, image or likeness from being used for commercial purposes without the permission or heirs or executors.
