Aneesah Morrow had 17 points and 14 rebounds, her fourth consecutive game with a double-double, and the Connecticut Sun beat the Los Angeles Sparks 84-81. Kennedy Burke scored 14 points for the Sun. Leila Lacan, who made her season debut, and Diamond Miller added 12 points apiece. Ariel Atkins and Rae Burrell led the Sparks with 16 points apiece, Erica Wheeler scored 13 and Dearica Hamby 11. Connecticut’s Brittney Griner returned from a four-game absence because of a rib injury but left the game for good late in the first half after she was apparently poked in the eye. She finished with nine points.
