Husker researchers studying connection between birds' social, communication networks

Dai Shizuka, Susan J. Rosowski Professor of biological sciences, and Faiza Hafeez, graduate student in biological sciences, are teaming up to study the connection between birds' communication networks and their social networks. Shizuka received a nearly $875,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to pursue the project.
