Details of the Bug Fix After a user saved an edit, the picture vanished from the image picker in apps like Telegram and WhatsApp. 9to5Google called it a “bizarre side effect” that made sharing a hassle. Artem Russakovskii, the owner of APKMirror, said the fix appears in Google Photos version 7.97. 9to5Google tested version 7.98 and found that the hidden image behavior no longer occurs. The bug stayed for about three months. he exact cause remains unclear, but 9to5Google says it is no longer a major concern now that the problem has been fixed. More Google Photos News Users should update the Google Photos app to version 7.97 or later to get the fix. Anyone who edits photos often should check that their app is up to date. Those who still see the bug can report it in the comments on 9to5Google. Google Photos has been busy lately. It recently rolled out a customizable redesign of the Collections tab. Google also launched a Redact tool and Mood filters in September. Another report says Google will target ads using Gmail and Photos data if Personal Intelligence is turned on.
