In response to a 12‐fold rise in HIV cases, Fiji has declared a national emergency after data revealed that 1 in 60 adults are infected. The government is expanding free testing, treatment and harm‐reduction services while urging a unified inter‐agency approach to tackle the growing epidemic and associated stigma.
