William Joseph (Joey) Chandler, age 61, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He leaves behind his loving wife, Tammy Hacker Chandler; his stepmother, Kathy Chandler; his stepfather, James Asher of East Bernstadt, KY; two children, Haley Smith & husband Trevor of Tyner, KY, Holly Brewer of London, KY; two grandsons, Jasper Zion Smith and also a baby boy Smith coming in October; his brother, James Chandler & wife Faye of Lexington, KY; his stepsister, Karrie-Anne Faison & husband Richie of Lexington, KY; his stepbrother, Gerald Asher of East Bernstadt, KY; his mother-in-law, Dora Hacker; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Chandler; his mother, Carolyn Melish Asher; his father-in-law, Bernard Hacker; and by two grandsons, Oliver Aiden Smith and Jericho Smith. Joey was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church. His faith guided his life and provided strength, comfort, and purpose throughout the years. He enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Joey also had a passion for radio, music, and movies, finding joy in the excitement, entertainment, and memories they brought. Above all else, Joey's greatest love was his family. He treasured every moment spent with them and took immense pride in being a husband, father, and Poppy. His grandbaby held a special place in his heart and brought him endless happiness. Joey also shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Scooter, whose companionship brought him comfort and joy. Known for his caring nature and loving spirit, Joey will be remembered for the kindness he showed others, the laughter he shared, and the unwavering love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the faith he lived by will continue to inspire all who knew him. Joey's legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. A funeral service honoring William Joseph (Joey) Chandler was held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Joe Arnold and Mike Burns officiating. Interment followed at the Hacker-Steele Cemetery in Annville, Kentucky. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
