HILO — Waiakea girls basketball fought valiantly and kept pace with the visiting Mililani Lady Trojans, but the guests’ execution late in the game gave them enough juice to beat the Lady Warriors 42-37 during Monday afternoon’s HHSAA Division-I opening round playoff at Waiakea High School.
